Beef, chicken, pork or goat? For some time now, I have been trying to lose weight. My doctors have recommended that I lose some pounds so that I can be healthier.
But of course, as everybody knows, losing weight is easier said than done. Keeping pounds off is no easy task. That’s true for me since I am a meat lover. I love taking in meat with my meals, whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Unfortunately, meat can be quite fattening.
Fortunately, I have discovered a way to keep eating meat but still help me lose weight at the same time. This is the reason why having goat meat near me is so beneficial.
What is good about goat meat? Well, for starters, goat meat is an excellent source of protein. And like many research and diet advice columnists say, eating more protein can be the key to losing more weight. After all, eating protein keeps anyone feeling full for a long time. Meat in your daily diet can still help you lose weight.
So, that’s why I keep goat meat near me. In fact, it has become my go-to meat. My freezer contains goat meat.
Contrary to some popular beliefs, goat meat tastes great. Before my big shift to goat meat, I have had several friends warn me that its meat may taste a bit off. But that’s not true. It does taste like beef.
So what’s in my freezer? I have goat meat in different cuts. I cook them in different ways like stew and my favorite: grilled goat meat. Normally, I buy them in cuts and chops. Of course, the leg is a favorite, and I marinate it with herbs and spices, place it in foil and cook it in the oven.
Unfortunately, not all supermarkets carry goat meat. I buy mine at a specialty store near me, that’s why I am grateful that I can buy goat meat near me or my place of residence.
Now I am proud to say that I am on track on my weight loss journey without totally giving up my love of meat. I am still a meat-eater but have made a big shift from other meats to solely eating goat meat. It does help that I have goat meat near me thanks to my friendly neighborhood grocer.
